Tor Tochnit – Etgar (Adventure Center)

Author - Michi Rosenhek Zelermyer

First in an ongoing series of activity highlights for Kayitz 2020.

“Belay on? Belay on!”

Are your children avid fans of rock climbing? Or maybe they would like to try it for the first time this coming summer? Kir Tipus (the climbing wall) will be open for business as usual once we welcome back returning Etgar (Adventure Center) staff and train some new madrichim (counselors) in the art of encouraging campers to safely reach new heights! For the last two summers, Etgar has been a hub of smiles and happy squeals with Kir Tipus as only one of the awesome activities offered in the spacious Sde Yarok (back field).

Chanichim (campers) are also able to test their agility, strength, and teamwork in our Low Ropes Course built into the woods, time themselves on team and individual tasks running, or Zipline across the treetops for a thrill ride. Kashtut chug (archery elective) will be offered again this kayitz (summer) in a redesigned range with newly certified and super enthusiastic madrichim to teach about safety, aim, and focus. And to top it all off, we are expanding our offerings with some afternoon bootcamp classes too!

With Travis Corcoran coming back to lead Tzevet Adventure Center for his third summer, we know the chanichim will experience outdoor fun, creative skill-based games, and pushing themselves to the limits.
