Camp Schedule
Every day at camp is filled with so many fun activities for the campers. Some activities are chosen by the campers while others are for the whole bunk/age group.
The general schedule below gives you a taste of a typical day for a Yavneh camper.

*Our mornings at camp are made up of 50 minutes of swim lessons, 50 minutes of the camper’s selected chug**, and 50 minutes of learning. In the afternoons, our campers participate in all things that camp has to offer with their bunkmates, along with free swim in the agam.
**Some examples of chugim include: archery, floor hockey, baseball/softball, basketball, boating, ceramics, cooking, creative writing, photography, dance, drama, aerial acrobatics, fishing, pickleball, rock climbing, sailing, fishing, woodworking, and more…
Shabbat
Shabbat at Camp Yavneh is a day filled with rest, joy, and ruach as we separate ourselves from weekday activities. Our traditional Shabbat begins with ReliSh (Ruach Lifnei Shabbat), when the entire camp gathers together for spirited singing and preparation for our camp-wide Kabbalat Shabbat in the beautiful outdoor Gilboa theater. After a delicious Friday night meal, campers sing Zemirot. During the day on Shabbat, campers relax, catch up with friends, read, play, participate in Jewish learning and enjoy the less-structured environment at camp. Morning t’fillot are age-appropriate and include both a mechitza and an egalitarian option. At the end of Shabbat, all of camp participates in Havdallah and enjoys Israeli dancing.
Achla Yom (Special Day)
Each session of camp, our campers look forward to their weekly Achla Yom adventures. While sometimes these special days take place at camp, other times we organize trips to a variety of locations near camp including beaches, state parks and mountains in New Hampshire or Maine. Some of our past Achla Yom activities have included bowling, visiting a nursing home or enjoying a movie and popcorn treats!
Birthdays
Birthdays are celebrated at camp with signs, cards and a special gift. In addition, our baker makes a beautiful cake for your child’s bunkmates to share and their bunk will have an ice cream party. A member of our Hanhallah (Leadership team) will coordinate a phone call home for your child on their birthday.
Visiting Day
Camp Yavneh has one visiting day during the summer, for full summer campers and Kerem only, and we look forward to seeing you there. For summer 2025, visiting day is Sunday, July 20th.
Bar/Bat Mitzvah
Camp Yavneh offers Bar/Bat/B’ Mitzvah tutoring during the summer for a fee. Sign up for tutoring on the Camper Profile form in your Yavneh CampinTouch account online. The tutoring coordinator will be in touch with you before your child(ren)’s camp session begins.
