The Jewish Experience
Everyone is welcome at Family Camp at Yavneh. Yavneh is K'lal Yisrael and Family Camp at Yavneh integrates a strong Jewish experience into a traditional camp setting – for the entire family! There is no single definition of what constitutes a Jewish family and we pride ourselves on bringing together families who have diverse Jewish practices.
Whether at Havdallah or a hike through the woods, Jewish values permeate the atmosphere at Family Camp at Yavneh. The power of informal learning enhances this five-day family vacation!
Kashrut
Imagine buffets of delicious and nutritious meals three times a day, plus snacks. No shopping, schlepping, cooking and cleaning for five days. Camp Yavneh is strictly kosher and is therefore a great place for people of different observances to all come together and feel comfortable. Our talented kitchen crew prepares fresh kosher meals that are both kid and adult friendly. We can handle special diets. Please contact us for more information.
Shabbat
A meaningful Shabbat is one of the highlights at Family Camp. When Friday afternoon approaches, the entire camp starts preparing for Shabbat. Dressed in our finest, families greet Shabbat together through candle lighting and prayers. Family Camp at Yavneh works to ensure that everyone feels comfortable on Shabbat no matter what your tradition.
T’fillot
Daily tefillot are available and optional for everyone. Additionally, there will be both a traditional and an egalitarian service option on Shabbat morning. There are also family and children services on Shabbat morning.
