Affordability

Thanks to our generous community, camperships are available to make camp affordable for all. We believe that Jewish summer camp has a lifelong impact which should be available for every Jewish child.

The Financial Aid application opens on September 17, 2026, and we aim to notify families of their award by the end of December.

Families who apply by December 1, 2026, will hear back on their campership by the end of December. While awaiting a decision, families requesting aid must select the Four Installments plan and are expected to pay only the deposit plus the first installment (November 16). Your final adjusted balance will be confirmed before the second installment charge on January 4.

Applications received after December 1 will get a decision within 30 days of submission. To ensure that Camp Yavneh will be able to accommodate your family’s needs for financial assistance, we strongly encourage all families to submit the financial aid application at the time of the standard camper application. After the initial application window, allocation of additional financial aid will be subject to available funds.

If you have any questions about the Campership Application and Process, please contact Shore (shore@campyavneh.org).

In addition to Camp Yavneh camperships, there are other places that offer additional funding for camp, including your synagogue or local federation. The Foundation for Jewish Camp has compiled a list of federations that offer first time camper incentives.

One Happy Camper has campership funds available for first time campers. Applications are generally due in the fall. Click on the links for more information. Please note: Awards from these grants will not be deducted from the camper’s invoice until Camp Yavneh has received the funds.

Other resources: local Jewish Federations, Jewish Family Services, synagogues, and rabbis (via discretionary funds) are excellent resources for camper scholarships. First-time campers may also qualify for outside campership funds (e.g., One Happy Camper, PJ Library) — check with your local organizations.

Please note: funds from synagogues, Federations, or similar outside organizations cannot be applied as a credit to your family’s account until Camp Yavneh has actually received the funds. Your account balance and payment schedule will reflect these funds only once they arrive.
