Arayot Aug. 10th Updates – KTV Preparation, Achla Yom and more!

Author - Camp Yavneh

Dear readers of the Arayot Blog,

As per usual, we’ve had a packed week here in Aydat Arayot.

Monday afternoon the banot watched a rousing game of flag football played between Maalot and Leviim banot. We cheered them on from the side and enjoyed an afternoon of bonding. Later that evening was Rekudia, a camp-wide evening of Israeli dance for which we have been preparing for at least a week. We danced to the song “Tel Aviv” and a wonderful time was had by all.

Tuesday was a day filled with preparation for KTV, a lip synching contest hosted by the oldest aydah, Kerem. We all had time to create and practice our skits, which we will present Thursday evening (tonight!).

Wednesday was ACHLA YOM!!!!!!! We went to Wallis Sands beach and spent the day swimming in the ocean and playing sports on the grass. It was a relaxed and enjoyable way to spend a gorgeous, sunny day. After we were all done swimming and had packed up all of our things, we headed over to the Beach Hut to eat some delicious ice cream. We took our time eating our scoops, then got back on the bus to head back to camp.

As soon as we got back to camp it was already time to eat dinner and get ready for the next exciting part of the evening. Soon after we finished eating our BBQ dinner, we were back on buses and driving to the University of New Hampshire outdoor pool for an evening of swimming and playing. It was a blast.

Tonight is the highly anticipated KTV, and we can’t wait!

Check back Monday for more adventures in Arayot.

B’ahavah,

Aliza and Will
