This is one of the best nights of Maccabiah because Dizzy Izzy is a wacky relay race which includes spinning around a bat to get dizzy. The chanichim each do their own relay and then watch the oldest aydah (unit), Kerem, and the madrichim (counselors) do the relay as well.
This morning, we had the Apache relay, an all-camp relay race where every single person in camp has at least one job. Reut was able to narrowly take the victory! Tonight will be chidon, a college-bowl knowledge competition worth a lot of points! The competition will finish off tomorrow night with lechu neranenah (come, let us sing), which will be a final display of singing, dancing, and artwork that will help decide the final winner.
On Wednesday, we will be packing and then have our much-anticipated banquet. We have had an amazing month and summer with everyone and we are so sad to see it coming to a close. Thanks again for entrusting us with your children. We have had so much fun learning and growing this summer, and we can’t wait for 2016!
