This week we welcomed back the four aydot from exciting overnights. Maalot returned from beautiful Acadia where they hiked and rock climbed. Leviim returned from the Highland Center nestled in the White Mountains and Arayot returned from Loon Mountain where they hiked and participated in educational activities. While Gefen remained close by, they also went on an overnight where they pitched tents and prepared their own food. These overnights are signature events at Yavneh. Not only do our chanichim get to enjoy nature but they become closer as an ayda. They also learn to work together to set up camp, prepare food, and support one another when challenged both physically and emotionally. The staff is always excited to see leadership skills emerge and the stories that the chanichim bring home are life long memories.
