Dear Horim (parents),
This has been another amazing week in Kfirim! On Thursday after our overnight, we had another Zim practice where we learned our Shir Aydah (group song)! Then the banim (boys) had fun making stick sculptures in omanut (art), while the banot (girls) played a new game to camp called Airosport, which is a frisbee game. On Friday, the whole Machane (camp) together to watch the camp play! Everyone was laughing and had a great time. A few people from Kfirim were also in the play. Once the play was over, we had another Zim practice to learn our final song, Shir Chasidi (Jewish song)! Shabbat was just as fun as any week. ReliSh (Ruach Lifnei Shabbat spirit before Shabbat) is always ruach (spirit) filled and is always a good time. Sunday was Yom Yisrael (Israel Day) at camp. Everything we did was Israel-themed and was run by the Mishlachat (Israeli staff members). In the morning, Kfirim had fun on the rock wall and making chocolate balls for the shuk (market) later in the day. After lunch, Kfirim went to the Shuk where it was jam packed with people music and a lot of different shops. For our peulah erev (night activity), the whole camp came together to have an Israeli Tekes (ceremony). It was filled with music, performances, and speeches. During the Tekes, Kfirim performed a song in sign language called shavim (equals). Monday, Kfirim went for a nice dip in the Agam (lake) after a hot day. At night, the whole Ayda (age group) played Kadur Kfirim (Kfirim ball) which is a mix of capture the flag and dodgeball. Everyone was so excited to continue a masoret (tradition) that has been in Kfirim since 2009!
We also had two birthdays this week! Mazal Tov!
B’ahava (with love)
