It is hard to believe that this is the last Shabbat at camp. We continued to be in awe of our madrichim whose devotion and dedication to Yavneh has made this summer the success that it was. We are so proud of our homegrown madrichim who have grown up at Yavneh and whose passion is to give their chanichim the same experience they once had at camp. The continuity of the traditions and masoret lives through these future leaders of Yavneh.
We would be remiss not to mention the wonderful mishlachat (delegation) that joins our staff each year from Israel. They bring with them the love of Israel, the Hebrew language, and the rich culture of our people. Without them we would not have the wonderful Yom Yisrael that we celebrated last week or the infusion of Hebrew on a daily basis.
We appreciate each madrich and their dedication to camp and without them the 2018 season would not have been what it was this year.
Next week you will have your children safely home. Ask them about camp, Shabbat at camp, and everything they have learned and experienced with us.
Shabbat shalom,
Davida and Meir
