Monday night was Erev Tisha B’av. The camp opened the night with a beautiful tekes in which Gurim sang
אלי אלי by Chana Senesh. We then listened to a shortened version of Eicha before we went to bed. Throughout the next day we did many activities that taught us about the spirit of Tisha B’av, such as simulating the building of the Beit Hamikdash and writing acrostic poems relating to the kinnot. We ended the day with a movie and a great break fast.
Wednesday was a normal morning. In the afternoon we celebrated Yom Yisrael. We spent the afternoon going from station to station learning about different cities and Israeli culture. After a hot afternoon, we cooled off at the Agam for an awesome free swim. At night, we continued Yom Yisrael by playing a fun kahoot trivia game about Israel and ended with a dance party.
Today, we spent he day at Milton Towne Beach for our first achla yom (awesome day). We’re heading to get a special ice cream treat and can’t wait for another fun day tomorrow.
