Welcome, Gurim Second Month Parents!
We are so excited to have an amazing month (or kaytana) together! Opening day started off fantastic, despite the rainy weather. After we all got settled in to our bunks/areas we started doing icebreakers with our bunkmates and had some nish nush (snack) of granola bars or oreos to tide us over until dinner.
Then we went to Mifkad (where the camp comes together everyday at the flagpole) and afterwards, made our way to dinner. Dinner was schnitzel, mashed potatoes, string beans, cooked carrots and of course a colorful salad bar and a lovely pasta bar.
Our peulat erev (night activity) was a round robin of seven silly and fun games. We had a blast getting to know each other through crazy games like: “Wah”, Birdy Goes Peep, Truck Truck Moose, a handshake game and more!
Today we get to pick our chugim (electives), go to our first kitot (classes) and have some amazing activities with our bunk in the afternoon. We cannot wait for all the incredible times we will have together this month and to share all of the highlights with you all!
