Visiting Day – July 20
We are excited to welcome families of FULL summer chanichim to visit their child(ren) at camp for the day on Sunday, July 20!
Family members can visit their camper/s at camp between noon and 6 pm (when the campers need to be back with their bunk).
We will offer lunch in camp for campers and visitors, and visitors will have the chance to tour camp, participate in some camp activities, and spend some special time with your child/ren. After the visit, campers will rejoin their ayda-mates and participate in special Intersession programming while preparing for the arrival of second session campers on Tuesday, July 22.
Please make sure you fill out the “Visiting Day Plans” form in your CampinTouch account so we can prepare for your visit! If you have any questions about visiting day, please reach out to us at info@campyavneh.org.

FAQ
When should we arrive at Camp? Please plan to arrive at camp between 12:00-1:00 PM (enter camp through Lower Deerfield Road).
What if I am picking up a first session camper AND visiting a full summer camper? For families in this situation, please arrive at 11 am and not at the scheduled pick up time of 9:30-10:30 am.
We are planning to stay in camp with our child(ren). What will there be for us to do? We are excited for your child(ren) to show you around our camp, and to share some of the many things we love about it. Following lunch, you will have the opportunity to visit your child(ren)’s bunks, enjoy the Agam, Teva, Bishul, and more!
If we are staying in camp, what should we do about lunch? Lunch will be dairy with plenty of options, and will cost $18 per person (campers will eat free of charge). If you would prefer to bring your own food into camp for a picnic, please make sure that all food is Kosher and nut-free.
How long can we stay in camp? You’re welcome to visit camp through 5:30 PM. When you are ready to leave, you must sign your camper(s) back in, and return their phone(s).
We’re planning to take our camper(s) out of camp. When do we need to bring them back to camp? Your camper(s) must be signed back into camp between 4:30-5:30 PM. When returning, please make sure to follow the same process as the beginning of the day, signing your camper(s) back in and returning their phone(s).
Is there anywhere I can take them for a haircut? There are two barber shops close to Yavneh that our families have been to before: We would recommend calling these locations a few days before you arrive to camp.
- Route 4 Barber Shop (683 1st New Hampshire Turnpike, Northwood)
- Butchers Barbershop & Shave Parlor (321 1st New Hampshire Turnpike, Northwood)
Are there any restaurants in the area?
- The Brooklyn Cafe – A new kosher restaurant 30 minutes from Camp! (2299 Woodbury Avenue, Newington)
- Green Elephant – A popular vegetarian restaurant 30 minutes from Camp (35 Portwalk Pl, Portsmouth)
- Johnson’s Dairy Bar – Yavneh’s favorite Ice Cream shop that sells kosher ice cream (1334 1st New Hampshire Turnpike, Northwood)
