2017 Annual Shabbat Dinner Update

Author - Camp Yavneh

“I was thrilled to see such an enthusiastic response to the Annual Shabbat Dinner. It is a terrific opportunity for our entire local community to come together and re-experience the magic of Yavneh under one roof – from the youngest Gurim camper to the alumni grandparent – l’dor v’dor!”                     Melanie Gerard, Director of Development at Yavneh

Yavneh’s Annual Shabbat Dinner on November 3rd was a huge success! Over 140 people attended, including campers and their families from all aydot, multi-generational alumni, Yavneh board members and Legacy Circle Club Members. Every seat was taken – there was even a wait list to get in! The delicious meal was catered by Duchez Catering and the room was beautifully decorated by Yavneh staff.

Many people helped contribute to the success of this event and we want to give them a BIG thank you. The Ha’Motzi was led by upcoming Leviim campers and Kerem led the group in benching. Services were conducted by Yavneh alumni, Adam Winograd and Sam Forman, and were engaging and filled with Yavneh ruach (spirit). We would like to say a special thank you to all of the event sponsors for helping us make the Annual Shabbat Dinner a reality for our Yavneh community. And, of course, thank you to everyone who showed up!

We are already looking forward to the Annual Shabbat Dinner in 2018 – insider tip, if you want to attend, please register early. Can’t wait to see you next year!
