Kfirim Aug. 10th Updates – Achla Yom and Surprise Pool Visit!

Author - Camp Yavneh

Kfirim has been having a lot of fun! Monday night was Rekudia. Each aydah had an opportunity to perform their own Israeli dance for the rest of camp. After each performance, the whole camp did some more Israeli dance together.

On Tuesday we left for our overnight. Younger Kfirim went to Pawtuckaway. We had food brought to us and made our own pita for dinner. We had a lot of free time in the afternoon and had the opportunity to play sports on the field. The night ended in a bonfire with s’mores. The chanichim all really enjoyed spending the night in tents. We came back to camp midday Wednesday and had some rest time. After lunch we played Gladiator (a fun variation of dodgeball and kickball) and then had free swim.

Older Kfirim went to White Lake. We spent Tuesday preparing the tents and then went on a nature walk. We had a delicious barbecue for dinner and ended the night with a bonfire. On Wednesday, we woke up and spent a couple hours in White Lake. The water was perfectly clear and we could see the bottom of the lake! After lunch, we came back to camp to prepare for the evening.

Last night, the entire camp went to the pool at New Hampshire. There were many cool things at this pool, including a log that you had to stay on for as long as you could. Everyone had a lot of fun and enjoyed the pool!

We can’t believe that we only have a week left. We are excited for everything that is in store for the last week!

B’ahavah,
